Re: Ultra-Pure Oils

Ultra-Pure has added the option of Google Checkout on our website. It offers the same price as the Paypal system, but the prices have the shipping charge (10%) built in. If you have a Google Checkout account, it is quite fast to order our products. Some countries can't use Paypal, so if this applies to you, do give the Google Checkout system a try.

All the best,
Ken

Re: Ultra-Pure Oils

Do you know how these oils are in comparison to other synthetics, such as BiNaK Pro and La Tromba T2?

Re: Ultra-Pure Oils

I know how Ultrapure compares with LaTromba T2. I have used T2 for the past 10 years and have been very pleased with the fact that none of my valves have ever malfunctioned the whole time and that much of the original lapping marks are still on the valves documenting the low wear!
Ultrapure came with my Monette Prana3 and I used that for the first week. I had a couple of gigs and was happy with the action. I then cleaned the horn, waited until the valves were bone dry and then applied T2. They seemed to be slower than the same valves with UP. Just for the heck of it, I recleaned the valves and then applied UP, they now seemed faster again. I have switched, and if this stuff keeps the valves from wearing like the T2 did, I am good to go.
I have not done any scientific blind tests, but because the valves are doing what they are supposed to, I have no reason for experimenting (I haven't figured out a good way to test valve oil anyway, except to look at the wear after 5-10 years. The Al Cass that I used before T2, did NOT do a good job of protecting my valves. It was fast, but so was the wear on the valve surface. No more petroleum based products for my horns!

Ultra-Pure News

Ultra-Pure Oils has added trumpeter Bobby Shew to their list of top endorsers. He said "I think the oil is superb and I could feel a big difference from the first time I put it on. Even in extra dry New Mexico, it seems to last longer. Needless to say, I'm a very happy camper with this product.” Bobby Shew, a Yamaha Artist, has played with the Woody Herman and Buddy Rich bands and has had a long career as a studio recording artist, a jazz soloist, and clinician.

His endorsement joins with other professionals, such as Chris Botti, Dave Douglas, Manny Laureano, Wynton Marsalis, and many others who depend on Ultra-Pure Professional Valve Oil for its fast, light, and silky-smooth action.

Ultra-Pure is also used and recommended by several trumpet manufacturers, including David G. Monette, Sonaré Brass, and most recently, Willson Brass Instruments of Switzerland.

Check out the full press release at BOBBY SHEW Endorses Ultra-Pure Oil. There is also a cool photo of Bobby posted there! While you are there, order some Ultra-Pure Professional Valve Oil for yourself!

Re: Ultra-Pure Oils

I just got my Ultra-Pure Oil the other day, and it's amazing! I'm using this oil in my 1968 Getzen Eterna Severinsen model, and it's made the valves even more fast, and this trumpet plays even better than ever! I used to use Blue Juice, and that is also very good oil, but I noticed an immediate improvement after applying some Ultra-Pure Oil.

Re: Ultra-Pure Oils

I've been using Ultrapure for almost a year now on all my horns. The only thing I tried that was faster was PDQ, but that stuff smells like jet fuel and it doesn't last. I figured that it couldn't be any good for my liver.
