![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: UK fan from Louisville? Dear Huggy, You are right that Mike Sachs is a trumpet pimp. I have nothing but respect for him. I think he may have even taught me something once, but I can't remember what it was. But what can I say, out with the old in with the new. I play a straight Bach 1 1/4 mp. A-mac doesn't need special equipment. As far as gold trumpets go I have one, but I had to put it away because my sound was too shiny and bright. The conductors couldn't see the score when I played. My case of choice is Marcus Bona. I have a single a double and a triple. That way if I don't need all three trumpets I don't have to carry a big case that covers up my Armani suits that I wear to rehearsals. I know what Benjamins are by the way. I'm sure that with all of your business dealings you know how sketchy the US dollar is right now. Maybe you should be thinking about a northern investment before your stock in the US breaks down. I'll get some more information up soon. I want to be sure you are making an informed decision about your number one trumpet. Later Huggy, A-mac |

This is a really sad and difficult problem that most of us have to face at some time or other in our careers. Hopefully they can get this worked out without too mush strife, but it doesn't look good.
