Re: Clark Terry

And then there is the record of CT, Roy and Diz from Montreux 1975.

I was in Montreux during that mid July 1975 period celebrating my 5th wedding anniversary when I ran into that dynamic trio in the lobby.
Never got to see their performance but did see Archie Shepp and met a bassist (Cameron Brown) who share the same birth day and year with yours truly.
Clark with Bob Brookmeyer at the HALF-NOTE Club was a place to witness
spontaneous combustion.
Sonny Canterino was generous with the drinks.

As a contrast, I also like In Orbit. Re CT and OP- Even considering the particularly appropriate equipment, it's amazing that CT could play so sweetly and delicately while really tearing it up.

Trent - Caught you on youtube; I like your sound on the 38.
