I highly doubt that being Bix. Bix was in Whiteman's orchestra, but that player is playing some written passages very nicely. Not Bix's forte.

The trumpet (cornet) playing is great, yes, but the "groove" of the entire piece is unreal. Gershwin from when it was fresh and not so stylized.
