Love... animal, vegetable, or metal?

Hi Wilmer! This is a very core question, and I must add quickly, with no right answer, but how does everybody feel about their trumpet? Everything´s OK, from animal... part of you... but rebellious, an physical extension.... a thing you control.... a tool...

Do I have to answer first?

I fell in love with the trumpet at the age of eight years old. I loved at first the gleaming metal, then, after playing a short time the trumpet became the voice I wished to sing with. The drama of trumpet playing and the musical challenges have kept me in a state of fascination that, I hope, will never end.
Wilmer

Thanks Wilmer! My grandfather handed me one of his old Viking trumpets when I was 7, so for me the trumpet's like family... I sometimes have arguments with it, but there is always unconditional love! The metal feels very organic to me - and luckily it's immortal! Well, at least, it comes with a lifetime guarantee!

I fully understand your love but I thought the trumpet was your WEAPON after listening to your 1970 contributions on David 'Fathead' Newman Atlantic recording of THE WEAPON :)

You are a National Treasure O'Wise One and your contributions will forever be etched in our memories.

Live the good life .
