![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Messiah Choices My favorite now is my Münkwitz natural trumpet in D, NEVER any blend issues regardless of the bass. Second favorite is my Enders rotary G trumpet with a gold brass D trumpet bell. No white rays of light coming out of the bell......... When I think about raising the dead, the picc is the last instrument that comes to my mind, except maybe for cutting open the cast..................... The audience could care less - they just want a convincing performance! Smaller chamber orchestras use a different text: The trumpet shall sound, and we wish he was dead. |

| Re: Messiah Choices I will be doing the Messiah this weekend, not the whole thing. I will be on three movements and I have chosen the picc as my weapon. I have done it on D trumpet as well, but I just dont feel like transposing This is a community group of musicians, so I have a feeling the second guy will show up wih a Bb or maybe a C horn, so we will see. I guess I could always put in a little mouthpiece and do it on Bb................(JUST KIDDING) Have a hip holiday!! TD |

| Re: Messiah Choices Do the movements have to done on a picc? I'm playing Hallelujah, and I probably going to play it on a Bb Trumpet...(I'm only in highschool!) |

![]() | Re: Messiah Choices Bb will be fine. The old school trumpeters played everything on Bb, and thought only wimps pulled out the tiny trumpets. I, however, am a wimp, and old too. |
