Take the one out of your tuner--by all accounts you won't be needing it anymore! Enjoy, Richard, enjoy!

Re: NYTC at Rayburn's 5/24/2005

Thanks for asking Trent.

Got a chance to play her during a lesson yesterday. Didn't have to use the dreaded practice mute, so I could hear what she sounds like.

Wonderful. Just wonderful! It's got this wonderful center, clear and distinct, great singing voice, and when my teacher gave it a real try, he stopped after 20 seconds and said, "Man, this sounds like an old Bach!"

I didn't make up that last part or prompt or prep him.

Also it was a thrill to follow his promptings and instructions during the lesson and sound WAY much better than I do usually. The sound that came out just was something that I had heard in other players but not me.

I'm tickled pink.

Richard,
you are one VERY lucky guy. How many people on this earth get all the right notes trained into a new horn BEFORE receiving it? Now that all of those great players have stored that information, you will only have to push the right buttons! A shame that you didn't have them autograph the horn!

GREEN with envy,
Robin
