Re: Once in a lifetime

That was one special nite playing with those three - and having them for teachers. Best I could afford back then was to study under a student of Mr. Rosenfeld's - but I like to think a lot of good trickled on down.

What's happening in the music scene in Philly these days? Back in the mid 70s used to love to go to Just Jazz - don't even know if that still exists - but saw some great names there.

Regards,

In my times, the NYC subway ride was for reading and catching up on events around the world except for the summer months when the eye balls were focused on chicks in their summer wear including HOT PANTS on the IRT (#3 & 4 Flatbush trains) with connection at Atlantic Avenue where the D-Train brought them out of Coney Island & Prospect Park.

Those were the days when one quickly learned not to chase a train or a beautiful chick as there is another one comin' .

Curtis Mayfield was on to somethin' when he penned the song "People Get Ready, the Train is Comin',don't need no baggage, just get on board........."

I know that happy feeling.
I pumped enough music (Jazz & Classical) into my childrens Body & Soul from 8 Trak & Cassette tapes during our family rides before Sony came up with that damn walkman that ruined things for their personal DJ.
