Re: Roger Voisin-R.I.P.

I had the chance to meet Mr. Voisin several times as a kid growing up next to the town he lived in. I never had the chance to study trumpet with him but each time I had the opportunity to shake his hand I told him I was a trumpet player. Mr. Voisin always had a story for me and told me to come by and play for him. I never took him up on that and I regret it. I'm very sorry to hear he is gone and my sympathies to his family and friends.

We will all miss Roger's great Gallic spirit, won't we?

Well said !

Your remarks brought to memory the cry of the commander of the British Middlesex Regiment at an 1811 battle - "Die hard, men, die hard !" -
they would rather die than win.
