Re: Student Trumpets

I started on an Olds Ambassador I played it all through grammer school and then used it as my marching band horn in high school. , I still have it. I recently had it restored, now my son is playing it. It still sounds great.

Love your hard work and achievement.
I'm not from Philly so I defer to the 'Wise One' to inform about the son of a Preacher man who after school hours would play at funerals to earn spending loot.
In the Tioga section (North Philly),they had their own special corn (bread) with matching ears.

Re: Student Trumpets

My first horn was a Swedish made "Euphony 600", wich I borrowed from my grandfather/first techer.

Actually a VERY good horn, but HUGE!

Quite a few pro lead players wanted to buy it from me when I started gigging in highschool!

Still have it, but I only last about 15 minutes on it! Must quit smoking, I guess!
