 | Wilmer, I got to know Timofei a bit when I was living in Europe. Roger Bobo once called him the greatest artist to ever hold a brass instrument and I completely agree. Dokshitzer not only played like nobody else before or after, but also had a unique artistic persona. One of a kind I have a great photo of Dokshitzer, Andre, Antonsen, Ed Tarr, and myself taken backstage in Rotterdam. Great fun and I'll get around to scanning it sometime. Best, EC |
