Today Is Clark's Birthday

................so I took a life-threatening chance and played "Abblesen" over the phone for Clark. The darn fourth valve sort of took it's time coming up It was perfect aside from that, and I lived.

Give him my best Trent.
Clark is the biggest inspiration to my playing. Nothing brings a smile to my face like listening to him play.
He is truly one of the greatest jazzmen of all time.

Re: Today Is Clark's Birthday

Just back from Cleveland (after hanging at the Cleveland airport for far too long). All the delays in travel and "airport" sleep are extremely small compared to the great joy I experienced by playing with my idol CT.

Clark looked great, was in excellent health (he is 87 after all), and PLAYED HIS TAIL off...

What an inspiration. I can't begin to tell you how much Clark has affected my life.

I'll try to post pics soon. Thanks to everyone who sent any wishes. I read them to him as they came in and he truly appreciated them!

Cheers,

T
