Re: Trumpet Toys

Wilmer how does the Colin mute compare to the Denis Wick pratice mute. I have used the wick mute for about 20 years

I am not Wilmer, but in my opinion the Spa mute is much more user friendly than the Wick. I was introduced to it over the summer and I am sold. I was using a Bremner Shhhhhh mute and would still recommend it, but the Spa mute is a bit better - freer blowing. You wouldn't be disappointed.

I like the Brass Spa practice mute more than the Wick. I like the general feel of the Brass Spa blow, it does not back up on you. The Brass Spa pitch is a bit on the high side, but we don't often use the mute for any thing other than practice My neighbors have not complained.......yet. I think the Brass Spa mute is a keeper.
