| Pianissimo User | Huge thanks to Chuck for posting the picc. sorry that its not a pristine shot of the horn - you have to put up with my ugly mug too! The fixed expression on my face is one of intense concentrationn as that shot aws taken during a session I played a couple of years ago, recording the sound track to a Mr Benn cartoon. Don't know if you see Mr Benn outside the uk but that was a special session for me. I grew up watching the show and the original 13 episodes featured Kenny Wheeler on the beautiful innocently jazzy sound track - composed by Duncan Lamont, the Scottish saxophonist and song writer. This was the first new episode made in 30 years - for the anniversary DVD and being asked to play on it was a dream come true for me. The picc was needed to play a whole bunch of fanfares for the scenes in the gladiators arena. I think you can see now what I meant by 'long model'. All the best. Noel. |

When I first saw this clip I said "no way"... he makes it look too easy. Just a little glow on his forehead... if I could do it... I'd be soaked!! Thank God for talent like that. Keeps us all looking up at the stars. Wishing, reaching... practicing harder.

Nah, it's not until 9.29-10/1. Plenty of time to ice the chops ;) it's getting easier but doesn't sound like Cassone. Never will... he's amazing! I've been playing along with the video sometimes (have to pull my slide out on the p5-4... those ab's are a lot easier than A's ;)) -T
