| Forte User | Re: Crystal Ball(s) Please...take a look here http://www.stormworld.com/index1.html Scroll down and click the link for "Last World Standng". Click on Score to see the score, in its entirety, and read the score notes... I think this composer is looking things right in the face and is on the verge of something big. All of the composers mentioned thus far have been orchestral; we are forgetting wind band (guilty as well... and I teach it and play in one...). Thoughts?

![]() ![]() | Re: Crystal Ball(s) Glenn, We've discussed non orchestral composers. Scroll back. None that have written anything much for wind band, however (although I may be wrong). The wind band was certainly considered to be a wonderful ensemble by Mozart, R. Strauss, Hindemith, and many others (!) I suspect that the piece that you've directed us to is for wind band and MAX/MSP. A well designed patch can trigger both sound (prerecorded or live processing) and visuals (iMovies, in this case). Max is a multi-mediaist's dream. Thanks for the link to an interesting page, EC |
