Wow....

When I was living in Sweden I heard about a trombone player who keep bugging him to write a piece for him.

After years of the bothersome request he wrote him 4 notes on scrap of paper....

That story always made me smile.

There is a great book of interviews with him - (including an interview of himself).

György Ligeti in conversation with Péter Várnai, Josef Häusler, Claude Samuel, and himself.

Eulenburg, 1983.

There was also a series of recordings entitled "The Ligeti Project Vol. X" (insert number).
