| Piano User | Re: Names to Watch? Ed referenced it today so I thought, why not revive this thread? I'm sure we all have some more names we can throw out there. Here's a new name to watch out for: Amy Horvey. Amy is a great player and makes a good companion when you're on a bus for a couple hours and then stranded in Vermont. If you're into new music at all, I have a feeling you'll hear a lot from Amy in the years to come. Her website is, you guessed it, Amy Horvey, trumpeter. -Matthew |

I have too much fun making fun of the Cubs to forget you! ;) bah dump duuuum I'm already getting the same treatment as some of my "more experienced" counterparts... I'm no longer a "Young-Lion" and definitely not a "elder statesman" like CT... I'm just another duuude. T

I was quite enthused about Phil's playing, and I told Lukas to grant tenure to him. Lukas got a puzzled look on his face. He said that he really could not place Phil. I reminded Lukas that Phil had played principal trumpet on the previous concert. Foss looked even more puzzled,"You didn't play the last concert, I thought you were back there." Phil was quite blond, didn't wear glasses and was much shorter than me Yes, I used to be Wilmer Wise

I just started taking lessons with Jason Price. When I went to my first lesson I didn't know who he was(didn't know he was an accomplished trumpet palyer). My previous teachers were college students, I'm excited. I think I will learn a lot from him. | |
