| Greetings and Salutations! Hey all, Just saying hi as suggested. I'm a middle aged guy that never gave up the horn (its been 43 years now). I'm still playing my Olds Studio purchased new in '71 (I think) and back to the good old Bach 3C. I played on a Giardinnelli for awhile but it just never felt quite right. I'm back with a teacher again and lovin' it. I've gotten interested by all the "buzz" (sorry) about the Monette mp. Any thoughts on how to approach a try out? What to listen for, what to play, what to pay attention to etc? regards, Boplicity "The way to do is to be" Lao Tsu "Do be do be do" Frank Sinatra |

![]() | Re: Greetings and Salutations! Boplicity, Welcome! There are a couple of discussions about Monette mouthpieces and equipment going on right now that you might want to check out. There are a number of "us" on here that might be able to answer your Monette related questions. The "buzz" is basically that there are a lot of people who really like them, and a lot of people who hate them. There's no such thing as bad publicity, and Monette is certainly proof of that. Check out the other threads, and then let us know if you have other, specific questions. -Jimi |
