Re: Hello

Well Chuck,
Thanks for replying....

Well, I have been looking the topics..I don't know if I can say it just here...
But I'm trying to find out who recorded one specific version of Haydn's Trumpet Concert, which has a solo in the 3rd movement. It's a fast third movement and I have already looked some trumpetists, Marsalis, André, but couldn't find that especific recording.
Does anyone knows who recorded this outstanding performance of the piece?!

Thanks in advance!

Regards.

Re: Hello

I'm sure it might...

but it seems that few or just that recording has a solo in the 3rd movement... If this is true, could be simple to find...

But thanks!

Re: Hello

A solo cadenza in the third movement is not all that uncommon, and almost all the greats have recorded it; some, like Andre, several times.

Is it back from the LP days, or a CD? Can you remember the sound quality of the recording? That might help turn the sewing needle in a haystack to sail-making size.

Good luck, and welcome to TM!
