| Thanks again for all the kind greetings and let me tell you... Corsair has been playing since before I first met him and I fell in love with him in 9th grade. I first heard him in the high school Stage Band and he was quite impressive. I must tell you guys, as a non-musical spouse, what a thrill it is to attend his gigs and to know that that's the man I adore. There's something that happens to an artist's entire mood when they're playing and I envy everyone of you for having that emotion that only musicians can have. It's like in "Night At The Opera" (Marx Brothers), when Harpo is about to start playing his harp as he pauses and looks up as if to thank God for the chance to play it... quite touching. I have a friend who played classical violin, then she suffered a brain aneurism and when she healed after the surgery, her knowledge of the violin was completely gone. She's had both sides of the realm in which I speak and now just stares longingly at the precious violin she once tucked under her chin like a babe. And no, she doesn't even possess the inspiration to play it any longer... it's all gone for her. The woman is a walking miracle and perhaps God is bringing her something else as a replacement. I can only hope. Thanks guys for welcoming me, but more than that let me laud praises of appreciation for the talents you have, because you guys make the world a more lovely place to live in! (I kind of liked it, too, Alex... so I'm switching it back) |

| Vampires? No... then they'd suck. I've never seen a trumpet player yet who sucked... No, wait... there was this one kid in stage band with Corsair... but I digress. I have a question for you trumpeters. How in the world can you stand your lips vibrating that long? Believe me, I've tried, much to the agony of all White Bear Township, to play a note on Corsair's horn... but it tickles. How did you guys get over that? Or did you ever really notice it? (which is what makes you guys so well suited to the trumpet) |
