But I do know that there is a danish colony in the States, and that some of the old folks over there STILL speak danish. Yes. The very old folks in Ringsted, Iowa still speak Danish. Most are in their 80's and up. There are many other Danish "Colonies" in the United States that celebrate their Danish heritage. Viborg, SD Denmark,KS Seattle, WA Elkhorn, Iowa and a tourist town in California. Jim

| Re: Hi from Copenhagen, Denmark Skål in Tuborg, Brian :) I would love to hear how these 80 years speak danish - Since languages are constantly evolving, I am sure that they have retained wordings and phrasings that we no longer use here. |
