BradH will become famous soon enough
Hi from Pittsburgh

New to forum. Studied trumpet from 4th grade till adulthood. Sucks admitting I'm an adult. Studied engineering in college, but have continued playing all these years (I'm 53). Haven't played much over the past 10 years or so...family and stuff like that. In the 90's I played in several local orchestras, wind ensembles, and enjoyed playing "in the pit" for Gilbert & Sullivan Operettas. My youngest son graduated high school last year at 16 and is currently in his second semester at Duquesne University with a dual major of Classical Guitar and Music Technology/recording engineering. He got me interested in pursuing classical pieces on trumpet. In addition to my old trumpets from school (real old and beat Besson, and a King Cleveland I got new in 1967) I currently play Bb French Besson Marvin Stamm model 92BA made by Kanstul, a Blessing B152 C trumpet, a Yamaha YFH231S Flugelhorn, and I just won an auction on ebay for a Berkeley D/Eb. I know they're cheap and probably not that great but I wanted something to try before I make a bigger investment. Ultimately I'd like to buy a Schilke. I have used a Megatone 1-1/2C for years but just ordered standard gold plated 3C and 3E to help with higher register. Of course I have a collection of mouthpieces I'm almost too embarassed to admit to! I look forward to learning from and hopefully contributing in some way to this forum.

Welcome to TM, Brad! Mouthpieces are like friends--can't have too many of them.
