Thanks guys!

Thanks for the welcome guys!
I noticed the Eclipse contest as I was signing up for this site so, as the English say, I thought I'd give it a go. Well, I finished an entry in one day but I found out I was too late. javascript:emoticon('') The deadline was 11pm in England which, I believe, was a few hours ago. Oh well. I'll just save my entry for next year and hope Leigh uses the same criteria.

Welcome, Dave!

Since you missed the Eclipse Contest, maybe you could enter Father Guido Sarducci's "Finda da Pope ina da Pizza Contest"

LOL. That is great Bruce. I remember when he used to say that. The same with Chuck and the bill for the "Last Supper". I have been giggling to myself periodically recollecting all of Sarducci's funny skits. I am going to have to try and find some of his stuff. I could use some good laughs these days. I am sure there are some of his skits on those old SNL DVDs they have released, but I wonder if they have one of just him? I will have to look it up.

Hey Vulgano, I think thosa cementa shoesa woulda looka gooda ona you, eh?

Ohhhhh, yeah.... I remember that schtick about the bill from the Last Supper. It was a pretty expensive... so he had to Presbyterian the guy down.

Padre, about cement shoes... I karaté chop shoes. Not plobrem!

Alex,

Yeah, I saw that DVD fairly recently. Here in Texas, the "Defensive Driving" classes are held in a comedy club... and, the comedian that was hosting the class had those DVD's. As an aside... according to the officer, I was going faster than everyone else. I just knew the road better than everyone else, that's all.

Trompetvrouw,
Sorry to take so long to reply: was teaching how to be Vulganos and Vulganas at a brass camp in Bavaria last week. As to the cement overshoes, fine, as long it is Portland Cement (the PRANA model). That way conductors will keep pullng me out because they don't like the splash I make!

Hey Vulgano, is that really your mug in the avatar? You look like Father Guido Sarducci from a show called Saturday Night Live. He (Don Novello) was a comedic actor who dressed up as this chain-smoking Italian Priest.......hilarious stuff.
Yes, I realized after having typed it that I was not paying attention. To quote one Homer Jay Simpson.. D'oh!

Welcome to TM,

The last post to your thread here was three months after your first post; so, I don't mind sending you a post two months after his.

Many of us are come-back players; so, please share some of your experiences with us to help us and to encourage us. I am sure that you will get the same in return.

Let us hear from you and good luck with your trumpet.
