I picked up a 1960 Olds Ambassador that belonged to a retired music teacher. He bought it new for his kids and they learned on it. Had music for the theme from Shaft in the case, so I don't think it has been abused since the early 70's. I am currently stripping Whats left of the lacquer. Thanks to everyonefor the help. I'll be moving on to other sections of the forum now.

You're gonna do just fine and make more than a sound in no time. I'm a comebacker also and I found it SO much easier to learn and progress as an adult than when I was in school. Good luck.
