Wizard of Oz calls for solotone must on one piece. I used the Humes & Berg stonelined clear tone mute for the part just last night.

I have a vintage Shastock Solotone which I dearly love. Has anybody tried the Walt Johnson "Gatsby?"

Tony --- Horntrader.com in L.A. sells the Johnson solotone. You are right, it's a better mute than the H&B.

Kevin Seeley (seeleymusic.com) has the Johnson Gatsby. I just got one but haven't tried it out yet. I haven't tried the HB, so I wouldn't have anything to compare it to.
