Re: Flugelhorn Practice

I've had good luck with building in some practice time on flugel by using it, my trumpet, and cornet in rotation while practicing with play-along c.d.'s. I simply put all three horns on stands and alternate between them on each new playalong track. This gets the two less frequently practiced horns on my face more, and has the added bonus of simulating a jazz gig on which I might switch back and forth depending on the tune, etc.
