What do you do?

P.S. Feel free to laugh at this one! :)
In the seventies when I was a happy bachelor, I lived at 11th Street and 7th Avenue. I was right across the street from the Vanguard. I lived in a 6 floor walk-up building. Every now and then on Monday night, after the Thad and Mel gig, some of the guys would come by for a nightcap. I remember Thad calling me every name but Wilmer on the climb to the sixth floor

I could take the subway to work. It took less than 20 minutes to get uptown. Today, I live in Brooklyn, it is still a short commute.
Quite a few guys are motorcyclists. Chris Botti, before he was Chris Botti rode a cycle.

If you live outside of NYC,it can take quite a while to get to work......that's why long warmups are a rarity.

Chuck, I thought "Practice, practice, practice!" was the way to get to Carnegie Hall! :)
