| Pianissimo User | Jazz in NYC Hi Tony, What venues should I check out for jazz when I come to NY in May? And Wilmer if you catch this thread I'd love to hear your recommendations as well. I know about the Village Vanguard where else? |

| Re: Jazz in NYC BB - Other good clubs in Manhattan: Jazz Standard (27th & Park), Smoke (106th & Broadway), Birdland (44th & 8th), The Garage, Sweet Rhythm & the Village Vanguard (all on 7th Ave. South), Iridium (52nd & Broadway). Wilmer may have some ideas too. Tony |

| Re: Jazz in NYC Hey Bud, I would also recommend the 55 Bar in the West Village. You can see David Binney, Mike Stern, Wayne Krantz, Donny McCaslin and many other great musicians most weeks. Also the cover will not break the bank. ::::::The 55 Bar:::::: JS |

| Re: Jazz in NYC I’d also recommend the Kitano and the Cornelia Street Café. My absolute favorite place to hear jazz is the Jazz Standard. If you are into big band, you may want to try Swing 46. On Monday evening’s you can hear the Harlem Renaissance Orchestra perform. The Cornelia Street Cafe 2006 The Kitano New York Hotel, Kitano Hotel New York, Kitano.com Swing 46 Jazz and Supper Club - Calendar, //::HARLEM RENAISSANCE ORCHESTRA::// |
