Play Alongs in Practise Routine

Hi Tony:

In a previous thread "Practice Routine" you mention that you like to play along with Aeborsold Play-alongs.

How do you use these play alongs to get the most benefit from them?

Thanks

kadleck has a spectacular aura about
Unique -

I use these for: learning new tunes, playing in tough keys (the ii-V-I volume is great for this), and generally just keeping my fingers together.

I find that my time is the first thing to go when I'm not practicing improvisation. These CD's certainly don't take the place of a live rhythm section, but they do offer us the ability to work on our jazz playing in the comfort of our own home/hotel room, etc...
