I beg to differ. the ignore button was made by those that created trumpet master for a reason, this thread was started by a moderator, commented on by two other moderators (in the positive no less), was well received by everyone who has commented on this thread... i don't see people picking on a kid, i see people doing something about a forum troll.

You sound like Chuck trying to justify doing a buck sixty on a public road, and expecting people to believe this isn't the reflected habit of his hostile-driving generally. Which is to say poorly held value-judgement is no less liable accountablility despite Mod. status. The fact that Mods cultivate the same hostility they seek to avoid in utilizing an 'ignore function' don't make it complimentary blatant smear of a fellow TM member.

Nobody here can stand behind the statement that Hitman's a "troll" beyond justifying themselves in the accepted and antagonistic practice that enables it. If somebody can't manage to quietly ignore another of their own volition; measure and merit -they ain't got walkin' around sense. Tech. prowess is wasted on'em. ..It's no better than 'Pearls on'a Hog'.

If such tech. function's accurate necessity of what's been a dominant current of petty and irrational behavior present here? -By all means: unbolt the training-wheels and smoke out those that truly embrace its underlying confederate functionality presently?

Again I am forced to disagree. The ignore button is a tool utilized to increase what one gets out of this forum. By giving the residents here the ability to shut the door on an intrusion/intruder allows us to focus on the task at hand, that being the general desire to help one another. When a troll goes around injecting his or her own meandering thoughts when they know nothing on the subject matter it detracts from the learning process. We are all here for one purpose: education. I have learned alot from this website... Tell me, is it a coincidence that i have learned nothing from a or the troll in question? I think not.

You've drawn up my point entirely. Your insistence in maintaining a false recognition of another doesn't allow for anything more than the dysfunction your cycling in, by choice. Some people just can't see for lookin'. Or more accurate, is they're unwilling to see things as they are. Not unlike the bad, and deliberately unfocused poetry veery has relegated himself.

If you truly feel Hitman's a troll, and are comfortable speaking to a young person like that; then you're obviously misguided. Which says that you can't think for yourself, and or you feel obliged to participate in the notion that you can't walk and chew gum at the same time. My meaning, is when somebody says they can't learn in proximity of supposed distraction -what they're saying is i can't learn from anyone in sight of my own false-pretext. Which makes sense, given i got no doubts you fully comprehend the hypocrisy of your position, when you lean on the mission of this forum.

-Particularly so, given your unnnecessary defense of the forums' growing pains; illustrated in an ignore function, being no more flattering than such functions malignancy presently. This rank intolerance is legitimate distraction -and rings like a Bullhorn to young people and adults alike.

I think the ignore list is an infantile and arrogant idea, and i for one will not be utilizing this facility. Everyone deserves the chance to contribute to the threads; both with interesting and banal contributions. If you don't like a comment, do the mature thing and ignore it. None of us are beyond criticism (and this includes the forum administrators).

Since some of the administrators condone "Censorship",why don't people create an ignore list based around a set of criteria, therefore nourishing a culture of discrimination.

Ignore people

• implying swear words using stars!
• who express there opinion in slang words.
• who do not have professionally informed opinions, and dare to spread there ignorant gospel within trumpetmaster (and yes there is times when snobbery is present in trumpetmaster).
• who cannot play a double C express there opinions.
• who are upstream players commenting upon the technique of a downstream player.
• Expressing a sense of humour or talking crap within a SERIOUS THREAD! Oh sorry that one has already been made.

Do not misunderstand what i am saying, i think that this is an excellent forum with high quality contributions, but i am absolutely against this form of censorship. Most people who use this forum are sensible decent people, and this function is making a mountain out of a molehill.
