Well Edcon 1981
From South Philly with Soprano Bugle
We all know vey much what you are about calling people (fellow Trumpeters) Trolls !!!
Start with engaging in meaningful Threads, the fewer posts the better, but think before engaging
I was Guitarist with The Thames Television Big Band in England for Four years, and am now playing Soprano Cornet for Canterbury Brass Band, Second Trumpet for Invicta Military Concert Band, Guitar for Railway Swing Band, and Keyboards For InterSeptors Function Band.
So that in your eyes makes me a Troll
I picked up on your bad behaviour against a fellow Trumpeter Hitman from Australia, because your Mail is nothing to do with anything Trumpet or Cornet
Wisen up !
Kind regards
Dabhand

Well Dabhand from England with four horns that i'm too lazy to type out...

let us address this:

because your Mail is nothing to do with anything Trumpet or Cornet
WTF are you talking about? This very thread has NOTHING to do with trumpets!! This is a democratic argument regarding the very use of an Ignore Feature. Never once is it brought up how using an ignore button affects ones playing.

Now i want to clear the air on this:
Quote:
We all know vey much what you are about calling people (fellow Trumpeters) Trolls !!!
Guess what buddy, i just reviewed EVERY post made by myself (yes, all seven pages worth) and believe it or not i called one person a troll. You. Yesterday. I may have yelled at Hitman for interfering in a meaningful conversation, but it was never ME that called him a troll. Check it out, i dare you.

The ONLY TIME the words "Hitman" and "Troll" coincided in a post that i made was on page 2 of this very thread, and i posted "NOONE SAID YOUR NAME OR CALLED YOU A TROLL in this thread."

Last but not least:
Quote:
I was Guitarist with The Thames Television Big Band in England for Four years, and am now playing Soprano Cornet for Canterbury Brass Band, Second Trumpet for Invicta Military Concert Band, Guitar for Railway Swing Band, and Keyboards For InterSeptors Function Band.
If you want to start comparing phallus lengths, spare me. I am a full-time mechanical designer who's business takes me from South Korea to Canada to Venezuala to Australia to Argentina to Philadelphia on a regular basis. I am a part-time criminal justice major. I am a volunteer Emergency Medical Technician of ten years. Forgive me if i'm lacking trumpet experience because i only have the time to be involved in one drum and bugle corps. Hit me up in forty years after i retire, then we can compare.

Besides, i have more irish genes in my blood than i do italian... i don't "measure" up to anyone.

Re: Ignore List

That bunny sure looks tasty.

When I started this thread, I didn't even have Hitman in mind. I didn't know a thread on how to use the tools of the site would invoke such ire in people!

Happy posting to one an all!

Re: Ignore List

edcon1981 and dabhand and others,

Everyone is entitled to their point of view, and everyone's is different. Some of us are accomplished with a distinguished list of positions held and impressive qualifications to boot. Some of us are renaissance men (women) who can extinguish fires, play the Bitsch, and rescue damsels-in-distress all at the same time.

Many of us can't do any of those, individually. We just want to be better trumpet players. For most of us that is what brings us here to TM. Let's remember that, and keep in mind that the brighter, more talented, more versatile, and more experienced you are, somewhere in your list of traits you should have developed a goodly amount of humility, a willingness to rise above the pi**ing contests, and a generous helping of good will towards the rest of us.

It is so very easy to post bombs of scorn and contempt; of just plain nastiness. Just type and there you are, burning holes in our monitors like the acid blood of the monster in Alien. That means we need to be a bit more careful with what we let fly. Just because we can uncork a diatribe doesn't mean we should.

Peace, veery.
