Problems in Safari

A few things I notice when I use my Mac with Safari:
I can't see the links across the top of the page that appear in IE (Home, Classifieds, Employment, Links, etc)

I can't seem to get the width adjusted properly like on my Windows running Explorer.

I do, however, see the l;ist of who is in the chat rooms, which I don't normally see in Explorer.
