Referrals?

What are referrals on the “View Profile” screen under “Forum Info”? I happened to notice that my referrals now show 1. A quick check of other’s profiles show that most everyone has 0, Alex has 1, Manny has 7.

What are they and how did I get one?

Thanks Chuck! Weird that I've never specifically tried to invite anyone to join this site and somehow I now have someone to sign up using my code. Oh well. I'm on the map with a mystery referral!

Even after reading the explanation, I don't really understand it. I also have no idea how I received one.

We have never taken a close look at the referrals. Its something that came with this forum software. When a new user registers there is a place to put in a username of the member who referred you.
