![]() | Re: Your Thoughts on the Classifieds Section needed Ok we have made a couple of changes so far and it has really cleaned up the classifieds. The max time limit on ads is now 30 days and we have created a new eBay auction section. eBay auctions will not be allowed in other areas of the classifieds. |

| Re: Your Thoughts on the Classifieds Section needed I have tried to submit ads to the online section, but they don't appear. Is there a trick? I submitted photos and description. After a long time, I am back at the beginning of the process. Any suggestions? OK, I tried again and it worked as long as I DID NOT load pictures. Another message says that problem was fixed. Perhaps just not on the Auctions Classifieds? Last edited by johnkool : 04-26-2008 at 01:27 AM. Reason: New information |

| Re: Your Thoughts on the Classifieds Section needed There's some ads for stuff that is not trumpet related showing up in the trumpets section - can we get rid of these? One of them, globalphones, looks like they're only here to try to sell phones. Can we keep that stuff out of the ads, and preferably off the site? I come to this site for trumpet and music related stuff only - I don't care to have phone ads mixed in! |

![]() | Re: Your Thoughts on the Classifieds Section needed We don't care for it either but unfortunately this is the internet and there are spammers everywhere. We do the best we can to catch everything but sometimes we need help. Thanks for brining those ads to our attention! |

![]() | Re: Your Thoughts on the Classifieds Section needed Is there any way to automatically delete ads after the auction has finished or the item has been sold? Sometimes, I'll click on one of the featured items that come up on the home page only to find that the auction has been over for weeks or the item has already been sold. Thanks, Jimi |

A person in the cornet section of the Trumpet Master classified section is offering a cornet that I would really like, but he did not list a price. So I asked him how much he wanted. He said that he didn't know how much he wanted, but that he had been told that his cornet was a collector's item, and he wanted me to make an offer. I told him what they had been selling for on eBay and I made him an offer. He declined my offer, he still refused to set a price, and he told me that he had decided to keep the cornet rather than sell it after all. Which wasn't true, because he has kept the ad in the Trumpet Master classified section to this very day, still with no price. If a seller says that my offer is not good enough, then it is obvious that he *does* have a figure in mind but that he just refuses to tell us what that figure is. - Morris Last edited by screamingmorris : 05-25-2008 at 11:28 AM. | |
