The Atkins diet is not for everyone and is not realistic for many people in the long term. It does produce results, but it is a diet toward imbalance in my opinion.
Diets do not work as a lifestyle. A sensible lifestyle works in the long run and is much healthier as well. The body needs to process carbohydrates. The key here is moderation.
A more realistic program for most people is eating a variety of foods with ratios ranging from 20-33 percent protein, 33-50 percent carbohydrates and 20-33 percent fats.
Water should be consumed 2 hours after meals and not with meals.
