In the end Saddam surrendered meekly, as a weak coward rather than going out as a "hero" in a hail of bullets.
It seems that a man who had no problem in sending millions to their graves . . . and had no problem in asking Iraqi soldiers to their death in a "Holy War," was too much of a two-faced coward to ask the same sacrifice of himself.
