Larry ... ok cool! But could have sworn by listening that Chuck was playing lead ... my bad! But please do post the other players when he calls you back. Guess I have another 'favorite lead trumpet player' now.
You know I've heard very good things about Triggs trumpet playing, and now I know why. I only saw him play live once ... years ago when he was on Maynards band. A very fine trumpet player!
So he plays a Calicchio what model, finish etc? And what mpc? Last I saw / heard he was tooting a Yamaha? Was he playing Yamaha or his Calicchio on the Natalie Cole CD ... or would he recal?
I recently bought a Natalie Cole DVD ... "Ask A Woman Who Knows", with Diana Krall as her guest. Diana has her own guys with her. This is a BBC effort and very well done. What does Dave (Calicchio guy) know about this? I'm watching it as I type and it "doesn't" appear that Dave is in the trumpet section. Just started it so if there are credits, (musicians) at the end I'll post them.
Larry, you've played her show out in LA haven't you?
