I wear an Engineering Ring; it is made of stainless steel and is worn on the little finger of the right hand. Since it causes problems on that hand when I'm working with tools, I wear it on the little finger of the left hand.

Stainless steel is harder (much) than gold. Therefore it would cut through a wedding band. Therefore I dispense with the wedding band on my left hand.

The ring through my nose is sufficient to advertise my status!
