Does any one know what type of bell Herseth uses on his Schilke E flat?

I was looking over the Smithsonian interview with him from 94 and it had a picture of his E flat with a huge raw brass bell. I have heard that it was done by wayne tanabe. Does any one have anything they can add to that?

Just curious.
