I don't know who ted weis was but I have a Holton Stratodyne currently being overhauled by Oberloh's in Seattle that I am eagerly anticipating the return of. It was the "brother" to the Symphony, which later became the 45 and 47 if I'm not mistaken. My Stratodyne is virtually indistinguishable to the pic you got from Paul's site, but for a few things such as different top and bottom valve caps, etc. Mine's a '56, a few years older than the one Paul sold. I'll let you know what I think of it when I get it early March. It's been completely redone, top to bottom. It had no dents, but had been over-buffed pretty badly at some point and also gotten a bit rusty. The valves had to be redone and Dan had to redo some slides ... but he's a master, so I'm sure it'll be great.

Oliver

p.s. How do you like playing yours?
