granted...they may not have a masters or doctorate in music performance. they are simply entertainers...
the purpose of music doesn't always have to be for entertainment...and shouldn't be...
however if the music is not entertaining...good luck making a living playing it...
being a trumpet player i too have the tendency to bash alot of music. if you want to be a good musician you need to discriminate to some extent.
but...being a musician and a pretty good one...i can say that those fools can sing. afterall, music doesn't always have to be intellectual. that alone does not make it good. Arturo is fun to listen to because he does amazing things with a trumpet...the lines he plays are not really that creative either...it's all bad ass technique. and that is fine. i also like cuong vu, ralph alessi, kenny wheeler, tomasz stanko, and a boat load of other trumpet players....they don't all have to do the same thing...
my point is....if you wanna bash lets hear some reason....
other than they're making money.
give me a break...man. do you have any favorite singers.....?
