Hi and many thanks for drawing attention to the Special Edition eclipse Larry, especially here on the dedicated Calicchio forum. It is great that these days there is so much choice for the dedicated trumpet enthusiast and the ability to share information here on TM (praise be to he).

Just to answer a couple of questions, the design of the back bow is standard on all Eclipse trumpets. That replaces the regular tuning slide so that the leadpipe, front bow and bottom pipe are made from one uninterrupted tube. For more information about the philosophy behind this design innovation you might like top take a peek at www.eclipsetrumpets.com and have a browse through the pages refering to the construction of these horns.

The Special Edition trumpet pictured is one of just five, each numbered and engraved, which Leigh produced to mark the first anniversary of the launch of the Eclipse range at the Frankfurt Music fare last year. At the time of writing I believe only number 5 is still available.

All the best. Noel.
