I prefer either MSN Messenger or AIM to the TM chat. They both have "doorbells" so that you are free to browse around the 'net while waiting for chatters to show up (as long as you have the other folks already in your "buddies" list).
I tried using TM chat but lost too many chats when I'd be bored "waiting" and go back to the forums to read posts. While doing that, someone else might come into chat, say "howdy", not get an immediate response, and then leave again.
Why not post a schedule or note in The Lounge when you are wanting to "have a hang"?... say a day or at least a few hours ahead of time? |
