I just thought i would chime in and say that you must never try to take silver off yourself!!!
Lacquer is one thing ,but silver is quite another.
I use a specialist company to do all of that for me, most people think that just any silver plating company can do it but thats just not true at all.
I have only found 2 companies in the whole of the UK that can do it to the standard i want.
Pay the bucks and leave it in skilled hands, it will be worth it trust me.
