But take an oxygen tank. If you happen to drive up to Estes Park and take the scenic route "to the top lookout" you'll step out of your car at over 10,000 ft. ASL. They don't put signs up at the bottom of the hill warning those with breathing or heart problems for nothing!
It IS a fantastic place, however. The water will be a little cool this time of year but the river rafting isn't too shabby neither. |
I'll second that...not quite as beautiful as Berchtesgaden in Germany but the white water rafting is great. Believe it or not I spent a week there in August 2001 and drove over the Trail Ridge road to take part in the white water rafting 2 months before my quadruple heart op!! Loved every minute of it.
