Back to the original thread for a moment. I happened upon a few Ebay items that are being marketed as "German", "German style", "German Engineering" and I got curious. So I fired an email off to the seller of one of these items asking a few questions. TADA... they actually replied. Get a load of this!

Question from eBay Member: NEW GERMAN TYPE~TRUMPET~5 YR WARRANTY SALE!
Dear nationalmusicsupply,
Can you advise me what you mean by "German Type" trumpet? Is it made in Germany? or is it modelled on a trumpet that IS made in Germany? Or is there some feature or characteristic that is unique to German trumpets? Could you tell me where this trumpet is made? Thank you for your reply

Notice how they didn't say where it was made? :o) Or WHICH "high dollar" German instrument it is patterned on?
Think I'll go after the one who said "German" next.
