I have heart warming stories that I can't share with you in detail quite yet due to OPSEC but the people at fault here (at least the ones currently MOST at fault) are 10,000 or so members of mr nutball's militia and Al Jazera TV. There wasnt a plan in the world that could have given the american people the bloodless video game war that the media wanted, and I bow to our president for doing what needed to be done. I hate being away from my wife, but that's my job. SOLDIERS FIGHT WARS. A soldier with 20 years of garrison experience is useless, if I'm unhappy about being over here shame on me for re-enlisting 3 times. I raised my right hand as we all did over here, no body put a gun to our heads, and talking smack about my commander in chief will do nothing productive, especially by people who are so many thousands of miles removed from reality. The military is here to fight and win wars, defend the homeland, and the interests of the US. The president acted on the money, and he has my vote.
I realize the original remark was light hearted in nature, but this is a serious subject. No personal attacks intended, but if the shoe fits.....
After loosing relatives in a bus bombing a few months ago, in my grief I decided not to post on any trumpet forums and have let others use my computer instead. After reading that you are in Iraq, I decided to break my state of mourning and share this with you.

This is a holy war ... not one of revenge for 9/11. This is no planning involve in such wars as everyone seems to expect or want.

The best thing that I can say to you at this time, Gary, is to keep your eyes and your heart up above. With this effort you will be much more encouraged in your duties. If everyone here would do the same, they would not pity your position but rather envy it.

May G-d be with you, guide you and your new wife, protect you in all your ways and grant you success, happiness, health, prosperity and peace.
