I agree. I wrote a march for my symphonic band and asked the brass to play going up while playing a decrescendo. They grumbled at me for weeks. "That is SO hard to do" they kept saying, and it is.

In a like manner, keep up the tempo in a decrescendo, and keeping the tempo from rushing in a crescendo are difficult things. I know when I practice such phrases the metronome is off :wink:
