| I've heard that "Jazz Tactics" by Chase Sanborn is a great Jazz improv book.
I actually own it, but I loaned it out soon after I got it, and as of yet have not actually had the opportunity to work out of it much, but it appeared to be written in a very straightforward, understandable manner.
