Mike, while doing some poking around on the Admiral, it seems that what you have said is true, it is SUPPOSED to be an intermediate trumpet. But because of the refinements made the the rest of the MF line, it plays way above that. It may not be a Vintage One, or an Eclipse. But for intermediate money, most have been saying you get a horn with professional qualities. Add something besides the stock 7C and you might have a horn that inches up towards the Strad in sound and quality (some might say it would be better, but I still believe in Bach) but at half the price.
